The Psychology Research Think Tank produces a large and diverse body of work, but none of it would be possible without our talented faculty members. Coming from the University of Alabama Psychology Department, they facilitate our research activities and provide us with funding.

Dr. Darren George
Founder
Dr. Darren George is the founding leader of the Psychology Research Think Tank. He has over 35 years of teaching experience at UCLA, Burman University, and the University of Alabama. Having been academically cited over 17,000 times, he is a leading researcher in the field of social psychology.
Dr. George is a coauthor on 15 Think Tank studies, including all four of our publications.
Dr. Ryan Lange
Joined 2025
Dr. Ryan Lange is our newest faculty member, and he is an expert in the field of neuroscience. A graduate of OSU and the University of Chicago, he specializes in sensation and perception. He is also a teaching professor at the University of Alabama.
Dr. Lange also leads the Think Tank Perception & Cognition Journal Club, which meets twice a month every Thursday at 5:00 PM.
